1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Spoolio Terms of Service. It defines what you may and may not do with Spoolio. We enforce this policy to protect users, third parties, and the integrity of the Service.
Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, permanent termination, reporting to law enforcement, and civil liability.
2. Prohibited content
You may not use the Service to create, host, publish, or transmit:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content sexualising minors. We report CSAM to NCMEC and equivalent authorities and preserve evidence as required by law.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery(NCII), including AI-generated "nudify," deepfake porn, or any sexual content featuring a real person without their explicit documented written consent.
- Content inciting violence, including credible threats, terrorist content, glorification of mass violence, or content promoting self-harm.
- Hate speech attacking people based on protected characteristics (race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or comparable categories under local law).
- Election disinformation — false statements about election dates, locations, methods, eligibility, results, or candidates intended to suppress lawful participation.
- Deceptive impersonation, including AI-generated voice or face content portraying real people saying or doing things they did not, without disclosure and without consent.
- Fraud and scams — impersonation for financial gain, fake celebrity endorsements, pump-and-dump schemes, fake medical or legal advice.
- Targeted harassment and stalking.
- Malware, exploits, phishing.
- IP infringement — using protected characters, logos, music, footage, or text without rights to do so.
- Privacy violations — doxxing, exposing private information about a person without their consent.
- Regulated content without compliance — gambling, financial advice, medical advice, pharmaceuticals, alcohol, tobacco, firearms, where applicable disclosures and licenses are absent.
3. Voice cloning — Acceptable Use
Voice cloning is a powerful, sensitive feature. To use it responsibly:
- You may clone: your own voice, a voice you have explicit, documented, time-limited written consent to clone, or public-domain / licensed voice content where the underlying rights allow.
- You may not clone: a celebrity, politician, or public figure without their written consent; a deceased person in a way that violates publicity rights surviving death in their jurisdiction; any voice for use in deceptive impersonation, election interference, fraud, harassment, or non-consensual sexual content.
- Misuse detection: every voice sample uploaded for cloning is screened against a celebrity / public-figure voice-match service. Samples that match a recognised public voice are blocked, flagged for human review, or rejected.
- Enforcement: first violation results in a warning + voice clone removal. Second violation results in account suspension. Third (or any severe violation involving CSAM, NCII, or election interference) results in permanent termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
You indemnify Spoolio against claims arising from your breach of this policy.
4. Face references and likeness — Acceptable Use
Face reference uploads follow the same consent + non-impersonation rules as voice cloning:
- Upload only your own face or a face you have documented written consent to use.
- Do not upload faces of minors except your own minor child for personal use (and never for biometric features unless the minor is over the local minimum age and you have documented parental consent on file with us).
- Do not generate content that would defame, harass, or sexually exploit any depicted person.
- Disclose AI generation where required by law or platform policy.
5. Platform integrity
You may not:
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, token caps, content moderation, watermarks, or platform integrations' terms.
- Reverse-engineer the Service or its models for the purpose of building a competing service.
- Use automated means (scraping, bots) beyond the publicly documented API.
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise raw Service access without authorisation. (You may use Outputs commercially per the Terms.)
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except through our Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure programme — see /security.
6. Reporting abuse
Report violations to trust@spoolio.ai. For imminent threats, contact local emergency services first. For security vulnerabilities, see /security.
7. Enforcement
We take a graduated approach to enforcement, calibrated by the severity of the violation:
- Warning + content removal.
- Feature restriction (e.g. voice cloning disabled).
- Account suspension (limited duration).
- Permanent termination.
- Referral to law enforcement (for CSAM, credible threats of violence, fraud at scale, or content prohibited under mandatory reporting law).
For severe violations we may skip steps. We will also remove content immediately on receipt of a valid government order or court order.
