1. Our commitment
Spoolio is committed to making its AI video studio accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of disability. We design and engineer with accessibility as a first-class concern, not a compliance afterthought.
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA across our public marketing pages, signed-in product surfaces, and customer documentation. Where feasible we aim higher (Level AAA on key content). We also follow the EN 301 549 European harmonised standard and the Section 508 Revised standards in the US.
2. Measures we take
- Accessibility incorporated into design reviews and component contracts. Our internal design system enforces minimum touch target sizes, contrast ratios, and focus indicators.
- Keyboard navigation supported across the product. Skip-to-content links available on long pages.
- Semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, descriptive labels, and meaningful alt text where images convey information.
- Visual contrast meets WCAG AA on text and UI controls.
- Reduced-motion support. All shimmer, light-sweep, and depth animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - Reduced-transparency support. Glass surfaces fall back to solid midnight surfaces under
prefers-reduced-transparency. - Visual-story-first generation.Spoolio's AI pipeline is designed so video outputs communicate the story visually, not by audio alone — supporting deaf, hard-of-hearing, and audio-impaired viewers. Captions are included on every generated video, with word-level timing.
- Voice-over scripts and captions can be exported as plain text for screen-reader-friendly review.
- Annual third-party accessibility audit (post-launch).
3. Conformance status
Spoolio is partially conformantwith WCAG 2.2 AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the Service do not yet fully meet the requirements. We are actively remediating to reach full Level AA conformance prior to public launch and to maintain it thereafter.
4. Known limitations
We are transparent about gaps. Known limitations under active remediation:
- Some legacy dashboard surfaces still use heritage colour tokens with sub-AA contrast in one or two interaction states. Tracked for cleanup in current sprint.
- Complex creation flows (video assembly preview) have non-text content (waveforms, scrubbing controls) that we are extending with keyboard-equivalent affordances and aria-live narration.
- Mobile (sm/md viewport) parity for some power-user wizard steps is ongoing. Core flows are mobile-accessible; advanced settings currently best on tablet+.
5. Feedback + assistance
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Spoolio. If you encounter a barrier or need an accommodation, contact us — we aim to respond within 2 business days and to remediate or provide an alternative within a reasonable timeframe.
- Email: accessibility@spoolio.ai
- Subject line: include "Accessibility" and a short description.
If you need information from Spoolio in an alternative format (large print, audio description, plain-text), please ask.
6. Formal enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to contact your local accessibility ombudsman or equivalent regulator (e.g. the US Department of Justice under the ADA; an EU national body under the Web Accessibility Directive 2016/2102 and the European Accessibility Act 2025; the UK EHRC under the Equality Act 2010; the OAIC under the Australian Disability Discrimination Act).
